It was April 12, 1861 when the south decided to rebel against the Union. The Union was fighting so that slavery would be over and that all men should be treated equally. The North (Union) was lead by President Lincoln and the South was lead by Robert E Lee. This war was the most bloody and gruesome war we Americans have ever fought and it was against ourselves.
