Gettysburg Pickett's Charge

The Gettysburg charge was the greatest mass of Confederate troops the ran to their deaths. After this battle General Robert E Lee made him surrender and mark the end of the Civil War. This was was the  biggest turning point in the Civil War. And the bigest thing you can ask yourself is what if the North didn't win here, would they have lost the whole war? Would there still be slavery today? This may sound wrong but if all those young Confederate boys and men didn't die in this slaughter this war could have had a very bad ending for the African-Americans exceptionally.
